When I went to do my weekly corner store shopping last time, I also purchased a birthday card for my boy’s squeeze. When I got in line at the checkout, the lady in front of me casually asked me who the card was for. When I told her that I just liked the girl my child was so interested by, she looked at me with a puzzled look on her face questioning why I might spend so much cash on someone that was not a relative or my close private mate. Don’t think too badly of her. She’s not the sole one who feels this way. With the price of cards surging up to as much as $7.95 each, folk are rethinking how much their chums are really worth.
